As of Sept 4, the segment from Arnes Lake Carnation Rd to 80th is closed for construction. The rest is recently paved, very smooth.

This road is a real blast from the past for me since the last place I lived in Washington (>20 years ago) was less than 10 miles away, so High Bridge was part of my usual early Sunday morning loop, and the best part. I'm sad to read that it now gets a lot of police presence because police were unknown when I was riding it.
The road is above a valley that offers nice views, and being built on a hillside keeps it interesting.
