The segment from LV to Lake Havasu City through Needles and Searchlight is nice. Can get there without too much interstate and the state roads are good quality in CA and AZ. Lake Havasu will surprise you - particularly if coming from the south. Big contrast to the surrounding desert. Very nice ride - lots of open desert roads and some curves, dips and elevation change

This is a ride that will shows you the beauty and drastic differences in climate, vegetation, and altitude that is riding in Arizona. This a three day ride that requires riding 500 mile days to accomplish the full trip. If you have additional time you can cut the miles per day, but I live in Florida and tend to fly somewhere and rent a bike with unlimited mileage.
